Now For the Other Two Barbs of American Corruption in the Present

I have been listening for a few days and there are 3 things that seem to not get much attention these days, or at least not enough, that happen to be going on in the government. One is the movement of actions/announcements, either forward or backward, for political gain regardless of national security issues or accountability issues associated with that action/announcement. The second is the blatant disregard for the development of the people of this nation and its economy that this president has seemed to acquire more and more as the election comes. The third and last is the complete disregard for ethics that has been shown by this administration when it comes to cleaning its own house. If you can't already tell, this is going to be a long one people haha, I'll try to leave it under 2 paragraphs for each one.

The first barb was posted on Wednesday.

Now for the second, the disregard for the development of the people of this nation and its economy.

The President was quoted (again) saying how we have grown soft & lazy in the past few decades. The conservative media has done a very good job interpreting this in a way that makes Obama look bad, but I am going to concentrate on the message conveyed, regardless of who says it. The simple fact of the matter is that the President of The United States of America should never go on camera and call his populace lazy or soft. For multiple reasons: In short, it's bad marketing, it has the probability of causing dissent in anyone who takes offense to that statement, and it has the possibility of causing a national "mood" to change from self empowerment to self pity.

The President seems to be unaware that the millions of unemployed in this country, aren't just sitting there with their hands out for a check from him. Most of them are sitting online looking for job interviews if they are even sitting at all! The reality is that the "lazy" he refers to are not lazy, the most "lazy" people if anything would be those with success! That is a primary driver for many people to achieve financial independence is to be able to have money not dictate your life. However, this mentality needs to be applied to a populace becoming self sufficient, not to a populace becoming reliant on any government distribution.

Has anyone noticed that the President has started to blatantly disregard all of the problems he listed when he was running/up until the beginning of 2011??? His topics of conversation currently are: his reelection, republicans not being able to compromise, his reelection, Europe, his reelection, Southeast Asia, his reelection and of course his reelection. Many of his recent speeches where he outlined the future being in Southeast Asia (the ones from Hawaii) were fundraising dinners! $1,000 , $5000 a plate and if you're lucky $1,000 for a picture with him!!!! He has completely checked out of this presidency and is utilizing it to get himself reelected & to instill a mindstate of America that plays into the agenda of the populace giving the federal government more money and/or the government spending even more than it currently does.

The corrupt part is the utilization of this many governmental resources (Canadian-built President-defending tour buses so he could go to Iowa anyone? Remember that? Built 2 of them......no president needed that before, why when the economy & spending are out of control does the president NOW need them?) for his own political gain regardless of the country's well being by the way.

And now for..... the third barb

It is surprisingly VERY easy to talk about this one, the disregard for ethics, transparency, and accountability shown by this administration. First, look at the first barb to see other examples of this, but I made this one its own barb because it goes beyond what is on that post.

Fast & Furious and Solynra.

Both of these scandals are of the sort that if a Republican was in the White House, they would have been impeached by now. The Attorney General, Eric Holder, was aware that the feds were giving AK-47s and other assault weapons to Mexican cartels in a way to try to track them, and then subsequently were lost until they turned up at crime scenes involving murders of both Mexican and American citizens.....yet.......he's still working.....Thankfully, he is being called for to step down, but who knows how long that will take. "Trials" and "Hearings" will probably go until 2012 when Obama loses. However, THANKFULLY!!! the DoE secretary is stepping down in time (I believe). He understands that he messed up authorizing the Solyndra financing (and subsequent re-financing), and he himself is leaving as opposed to waiting until the last minute.

Obama's promise of transparency on himself and most importantly (because there's no way it would ever get out that HE himself did anything) WHO HE WORKS WITH/HIRES/APPOINTS/etc. that RANG throughout his campaign (even I believed him) clearly come through in this article:

I urge you to read that little paragraph and get your own conclusion with the information there, and your knowledge of the political situation of America.

Fun Political Cartoons

OH YEAH I ALMOST FORGOT

Update on Occupy Wall Street, these are just some things I've heard on the radio/tv (conservative & liberal outlets :O noooo omg not the libs too!?!)  that have happened recently and a quick comment on each one:

2 People have died of overdoses at Occupy Portland
   - R.I.P.

At various OWS sites there has had to be creation of "female only" zones & tents in order to stop rape & sexual assaults
-So THIS is the best America has to offer?

Occupy Boston decided to Occupy the Israeli Embassy and chant chants for Palestine
  - ......apparently wall street is related to this.....o wait i forgot......

IT HAS BEEN CONFIRMED MOST OF THEM ARE ANTI-SEMITIC
   -that sucks

New York City has stated that they believe the OWS protesters were stockpiling weapons in their encampment
-does that mean we can kill them now? that's rude, I know.

A man was shot outside of Occupy Oakland
-as someone who knows what Oakland's crime rate is, this honestly might have nothing to do with them, but still.....

A homeless man has died in Salt Lake City in their encampment
  - yes, they CLEARLY care about all of the 99%

A suicide in Vermont
   - he missed skiiing too much

A molotov cocktail has been used at Occupy Portland
   - weapon of choice for who???? RUSSIAN COMMIIIIIIIIES lol

Occupy New Orleans has had a 53 year old man be dead in his tent for 2 days before anyone noticed
   - that's just not nice

The costs of these things for policing, servicing, and clean-up has been in the MILLIONS of dollars across the country.

Now, lets contrast with the Tea Party

No one died
They cleaned up after themselves
No one arrested that was protesting
NO ONE DIED.

Can they please just stop? Anyway, here's 2 articles on it

3 Barbs on the Harpoon of Corruption

Haha dramatic titleeeee. Anyway, sorry I haven't been posting on here I have had a very busy couple of days, but I'm back on it! But what this post is about:

I will start off with this first post about the actions/announcements, the other 2 will be in subsequent posts probably done by the end of today as well. The 3 things that are at the forefront of this issue are the handling of Solyndra, the handing of the announcement that Bin Laden had been killed, and the announcement of America's decision regarding the oil pipeline from Canada. Each represents a different scenario in which the administration of this country had the choice between using information for its proper use, or using it for political gain.

Which do you think they chose?

Solyndra: Solyndra (for anyone who doesn't know, very brief background) Solyndra was a solar company that was given over 500 million dollars from the government in order to develop as part of the "America goes green!" BS (not that going green is bad, but its bs) that we hear all the time (see below).  This company was financially unstable and unmanageable. EVEN BUSH TURNED THEM AWAY! Anyway, long story short the company goes belly up (not before getting another 75 million from private investors that of course was paid back instead of the government money), and when it had to announce massive layoffs before the 2010 midterm elections.......guess who told them to put it off until after? Too bad that didn't have any impact.

This type of mild corruption has to do with the issue of transparency. It is not a blatant display of corruption because, to be fair to Obama, the fact that the company went belly up was essentially not his fault. However, his attempt that delaying the announcement of its failure for political gain is something I take issue with. Never mind the fact that Solyndra's primary investor is a Democratic party donor......but that's another story.

See below for articles:

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/11/16/us/politics/solyndra-was-asked-to-delay-layoff-news-till-after-midterms-memo-says.html

As far as Bin Laden's death went. A former Navy SEAL commander named Chuck Pfarrer is releasing a new book entitled "SEAL Target Geronimo, The Inside Story of the Mission to Kill Osama bin Laden" that is his take, after interviewing participants/observers/etc., on how the mission was really carried out. But I'm not going to talk about that because until I read the book myself I will be skeptical. However.......it makes common sense that the handing of the mission was used improperly for political gain.

Let's look at the scenario here:
Navy SEALs get the "Go-ahead" to take him out
They take him out
They report they have taken him out
They gather intel/evidence & leave
The announcement is made immediately after that bin Laden has been killed.

Now lets think about this for a second. The #1 wanted man in modern history since probably post-1980, if not post-WW2 has just been killed. His home compound has been raided and invaluable information has been gathered by the SEALs. We should immediately announce "WE GOT 'IM!" right? WRONG.

Almost all of the intelligence gathered at the site was instantaneously useless when we announced to the whole world that we had taken out the head of Al-Qaeda. As soon as the announcement was made, do you think his #2,3,4,5,6,7,etc. all decided to stay where they were? NO! They all moved. Realistically, all of them could have moved 5 buildings down the street from wherever they happened to currently be, and we wouldn't find them. The intelligence gathered wasn't even categorized and filed away before it was rendered useless! Sure, we killed bin Laden.....but we did very little to hurt Al-Qaeda except from a marketing standpoint.

Point is, the announcement of his killing should ONLY have been authorized by the military (even though I'm sure the whole president being the commander in chief situation lets him supersede their advice......but that's a story for another day) when THEY decided it was correct to do so. It should have been determined what, if any, intel gathered was time-sensitive and if so, how long it needed to be contained for. But......oh well, at least Obama got to announce he killed Osama!!!! except he was golfing at the time.......what a P.O.S., I'm sorry but at least pretend to act like you care about the lives you're endangering when you put the most lethal fighting force on Earth into close quarters conflict.

Last but not least....and I've written too much for 10 AM, this is going to sound like a joke probably, but I am very serious......the oil pipeline. This one won't last too long. Long story short (see below):

Canada is all like "HEY GUYS WE HAVE OIL, WANT SOME?"

and we're all "NAH DAWG WE GOT OPEC FOR THAT, DON'T BRING THE PIPELINE TO NEBRASKA OR THE LEFT FOOTED DWARFED PUSSYWILLOW WILL DIE (joke, environmental issues are stopping it)"

Canada's all like "well psssssht, okay then we'll sell it to China"

then we get all "AW CMON MAN! WE JUST WANTED TO LEAVE YOU HANGING UNTIL THE ELECTION! LET US PUSH THE DECISION OFF 'TIL THEN!"

Canada's all like "no.......HI CHINA!"

long story short canada has oil, they want to sell it to us by using a pipeline, we say no because something in nebraska that matters more than our energy independence will die. like the left footed dwarfed pussywillow. obama attempting to release america's decision on the matter after the 2012 elections so:

a "NO!"  with him elected can be him championing enviroissues
a "yes" with him elected can be him championing energy independence
a NO without him elected can be his opponent hurting our energy independence
or a yes without him elected can be his opponent hurting the pussywillow.

anyway it's brilliant political savvy, but quite stupid, obvious, and a mild form of corruption to me. I apologize for my lack of caring/punctuation on this last part, my hands hurt this has been being written for over an hour, bear with me! Here is the article about the pipeline.

Happy Veterans Day!

I would like to wish all the troops and veterans here, abroad, and up in the sky a happy Veterans Day! We all love and appreciate you and all that you do for us as a nation and as people. I myself will be hopefully becoming one of you soon but more on that later on I suppose.

Anyone willing and able should text "VETS" to 20222 to donate $10 to the Fisher House Foundation. The Fisher House Foundation is an organization that gives low-cost housing to injured veterans and active duty members and their families while they receive medical treatment. Or to donate online or for more information about them their website is http://www.fisherhouse.org. Once again, Happy Veterans Day and thank you all for all that you do!
